Ian provides hands on experience, personally helping customers with every aspect of their fishing, casting and advice on tackle.
Venues are hand picked through the experienced eye of total professional, someone who has done nothing but this job for the past 40 years.
The fishing trips Ian organises are during primetime, or the best period on that particular river leaving no stone unturned to providing customers with the best chance of catching salmon.

Lower Pitchroy
We have fishing available in both the Spring and prime weeks on this, the most scenic and private beats.
Having spent more than 20 years as the ghillie here, Lower Pitchroy holds a special memories for me. I was asked many times in the past, what week would you fish if you had the pick. My answer was always the first full week in June. For me, the decent chance of catching a strong fresh salmon and also the first of the Sea Trout.
Lower Pitchroy has a fulltime Ghillie and a lovely Fishing Hut and is the most secluded beat on the river. Now with 8 pools for the five rods it really is a magical place to spend time on the river. Everyone visiting here will want to return and have fond memories of a beautiful place with amazing pools.

The Knockando House beat, some would say is the jewel in the crown of middle beats on the River Spey. The beat is double bank and some of the most secluded and picturesque pools on the river. It has a full time ghillie and nice hut with flushing toilet.
Two pools have been added to the beat in 2024 meaning the beat will now fish 5 rods instead of the traditional 4. Those are the best of the pools from the Phones beat which as been split up between Knockando and Lower Pitchroy as an experiment.
For anyone looking to fish the Spey this offers a great chance on one of the prime weeks
