| Lift – Slowly lift until the rod is at 10.30 position. As 10 30 is reached both hands begin to lift in unison, this determines the amount of line anchored.
Note, head and body still facing down stream. |

| Lift – The first part of the cast must be slow. A slow lift ensures contact between the rod tip and the line about to be pitched off the water. Pictures - show tension as rod begins to load. | |||
